How to Measure Your Pet
(For Dogs or Cats)
Boots
With your pet standing up, measure the length of the paw that is touching the ground. It isn't necessary to include the nail length. If you cannot get an accurate measurement, dampen your pet's paw, then have her step onto a piece of white and take the measurement from the mark left on the paper.
Clothing
With a measuring tape, measure the length of your pet's spine from where the collar sits to the beginning of the tail. The measurement in inches will relate to the clothing size. Clothing is sized in even increments so if your pet is an 11, a size 12 will be the best fit.
Collars
With a measuring tape, measure the smallest part of your pet's neck. The smallest part is usually closest to the ears. Select a collar that is a few inches larger than your pet's measurement for a perfect fit.
Harnesses
With a measuring tape, measure the chest area from behind the front legs, all the way around your pet. It is not neccessary to have a neck measurement when sizing a harness. All harness measurements related to the chest size.
